We're on the ball this year. Even before December began, we got the kids in for their Christmas photos. Christmas cards might get out before the New Year. :)
More photos over at Facebook.
Joey loves the Scooby Doo song by MxPx off the Scooby Doo Soundtrack. Tonight he and Belle danced away to the music, and Belle showed a little love at the end.
Joey: Mom, can I clean the picnic table...
... with my underwear?
Kelly: Sure.
Kelly caught Belle dancing on the water table. The song playing was "Catch Me I'm Fallin'," and coincidentally, fallin' is just what Belle did. You'll see in the video she's O.K. However, I'll be sending Kelly to Compassion 101 classes soon. :)
Joey was promised that if he didn't have any "accidents" that he would get to go to Disneyland. He'd gone at least a full week without any accidents, so we made good on our promise.
Today was Daddy Duty day. Kelly is away on a girls' weekend full of shopping down in Palm Springs, so I've got the kidlets.
We had a great day, and even though it was windy, it was still nice enough to play outside. Joey and Belle sometimes fight over the swing, but at this moment, Joey was kind enough to let Belle sit in it. That is, so he could spin her like a top! She loved it, though, giggling before, during and after.
That word she's saying is "cheese." She thinks I'm taking pictures. :-)
Kelly went for a walk today and took the kids. When they got back, Joey was sitting on the floor in the living room watching TV.
ME – Did you go for a walk with Mommy?
Joey – (in a low voice) Yeah.
ME – Did you have fun?
Joey – (pouting) Yeah.
ME – What’s wrong, Joey?
Joey – I’m sad, Daddy.
ME – Why are you sad?
Joey – I’m sad because I want to go see Carol.
That story should make Carol's day.
We had a rare Saturday where we didn't have any other obligations, and we haven't been down to see Carol in awhile, so we hopped in the car and headed down to Huntington Beach.
Since we last visited Carol, she's added a new member to her family. Rocky is a jack russell terrier and a great little dog with a very calm disposition. He's a great companion to Babe, loves kids, and loves to give kisses!
Thanks, Carol, for letting us crash your pad for the day. We had fun!
Justin helped teach Belle how to ride the quad yesterday. It took all of about 10 seconds for her to learn how to push the pedal by herself. Steering, however, may take awhile. So Justin helped by walking with her and keeping her on track. Check out the video -- and listen at about the 25 second mark for the giggle.
Her Papa, Grandpa, and Uncles would be so proud.
